Press Officer

I have changed my consumption habits a lot over the past years. I shop for groceries locally and seasonally, avoiding high food miles and unnecessary packing while supporting smaller businesses.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO CONNECT WITH THE OCEAN?

Surfing is my favorite thing in the world, so I try to go whenever possible. I also love diving, swimming, body surfing… Kind of everything that has to do with the ocean!

IF YOU WERE A MARINE ANIMAL WHAT WOULD YOU BE?

A seal! They are fun and social and love to surf or lay lazy in the sun!

SHARE A FUN FACT ABOUT YOU AND SAILING:

I never considered a career in the sailing industry until I came across this role. I didn’t know a job like this actually existed! I am a keen traveler and ocean lover though, so I look forward to having some cool sailing tales to tell soon!

How do you live a more sustainable lifestyle?

I have changed my consumption habits a lot over the past years. I shop for groceries locally and seasonally, avoiding high food miles and unnecessary packing while supporting smaller businesses.

How do you encourage others to lead a more sustainable life?

Talking openly about issues and concerns without blaming or judging. It’s important to keep an open mind and always assume positive intentions. People don’t cause damage on purpose, it’s more a lack of awareness in most cases. Being too pushy rarely helps in the long run, which applies to literally every social situation in life. It’s better to ask the right questions, listen, and get people genuinely and intrinsically motivated to make a change.
