Designed to go all-in – our new IMOCA 60 explained

We recently revealed some first images of our new foiling race machine “11.2”. Find out more about the new boat’s unique design in Episode 1 of our web series “The Making of IMOCA 60 11.2”.

Progressive, visionary, and radically different from all race boats previously built in the Class, our new IMOCA 60 was designed in collaboration with Guillaume Verdier’s studio with two major goals in mind:

One – winning the fully-crewed Ocean Race 2022-23

Two – inspiring radical change within the marine industry through sustainable boat building innovations and processes.

From the drawing board to the end product, Skipper Charlie Enright, naval architect Guillaume Verdier, and MerConcept project manager Armand de Jacquelot share their experiences from the past two years’ worth of ideas, evolutions, and construction processes that went in to the all-new IMOCA 60 unveiled this month.
