Learn more about the races we will be competing in as we build up to the start of the world’s longest and toughest sporting event – The Ocean Race 2022-23.

In January 2021 we announced our ambitious racing schedule for the year. After competing in The Ocean Race Europe in May and June in our current boat, we will launch our new IMOCA 60 and will be training and racing with both race boats for double the learning and double the miles for our co-skippers.

Charlie Enright (USA) will once again pair up with Pascal Bidégorry (FRA), while experienced offshore sailor Justine Mettraux (SUI) will be co-skippering with the highly respected navigator Simon Fisher (GBR), a newcomer to the short-handed sailing world.

The Ocean Race Europe – May & June 2021

Starting in the heart of the French offshore sailing hub of Lorient in Brittany, The Ocean Race Europe is a four-week long tour from the wild Atlantic coast, through the Mediterranean sea and finishing in the Italian port of Genoa, for both IMOCA 60 and VO65 teams.

The Rolex Fastnet Race – August 2021

One of the world’s most prestigious and challenging yacht races, the Rolex Fastnet has set off from the home of British yacht racing, Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, since 1925. After a sprint to the Fastnet rock off the south coast of Ireland, the 600-mile sprint will, for the first time in the race’s history, finish in Cherbourg, France.

DÉfi Azimut – September 2021

The world’s best IMOCA sailors will gather in Lorient, France, for five days of action as they compete in timed speed runs, an offshore 48-hour Atlantic loop, as well as a dash around the Isle de Groix. Based in the heart of the Breton sailing world the race gathers thousands of spectators eager to see the stars of the offshore sailing world.

Transat Jacques Vabre – NOVEMBER 2021

Held every two years, the Transat Jacques Vabre is one of France’s most celebrated offshore sailing races. In 2021, the teams will once again set sail from Le Havre, but for the first time in its 15-edition history, the race will finish in Martinique. A double-handed sprint across the Atlantic, the race will feature some of the most famous boats and sailors in the sport.

This is the pinnacle of offshore yacht racing. The Ocean Race 2022-23 is an eight-month long marathon, racing around the world in state-of-the-art offshore sailboats. The world’s best sailors are pitted against each other as they battle through some of the world’s most inhospitable seas in a 45,000 nautical mile circumnavigation of the planet.
